Depression Questionnaire

This questionnaire measures feelings of depression, which is characterised by low mood and an aversion to activity. This questionnaire is based on a variety of publicly available depression measures commonly used in individual differences research. A depressed mood is not necessarily indicative of mental illness, particularly in the face of major negative life events i.e. bereavement, divorce, or catastrophic injury etc. However, many of those suffering from depression have an underlying mood disorder, such as major depressive disorder.

Describe yourself as you generally are now, not as you wish to be in the future. Describe yourself as honestly as you can.

For each statement please indicate whether you:

1) Strongly Disagree with the statement as a description of you;

3) Slightly Disagree with the statement as a description of you;
4) Neither Agree nor Disagree with the statement as a description of you;
5) Slightly Agree with the statement as a description of you;
