Verbal Reasoning Test

This test measures the ability to evaluate, reason and conceptualise with words and sentences. This test comprises 20 questions with a maximum time-limit of 15 minutes. You will need to work both quickly and accurately to perform well in this test. After completing the test, your score will be provided. Please try to attempt every question before the time limit. If you cannot answer a question in time, use your best guess.

You will be presented with a passage of information, and four statements about that passage. For each of the four statements you must select one of the following answers:

1) True (the statement is definitely true based solely on the information contained in the passage)
2) False (the statement is definitely false based solely on the information contained in the passage)
3) Cannot Say (it cannot be determined whether the statement is true or false without further information)

Please note: The results of this test and any information provided will be anonymously stored and will be used for internal research purposes. Participants of this test are under no obligation to provide any personal information. This test is purely for research/development purposes and will not be used for employee selection. This example is not one of the real tests we administer; this example is here only to let candidates familiarise themselves with the sort of tests they may face during the selection process.
